Paper Crafts
The fairy image is the front of a birthday card made with paper scraps and stickers. The cat is based on a drawn creation (by me) of a cat-oriented tapestry. I recreated the tapestry in paper scraps on a piece of mat board. I liked it so much I made another for my son.
These were my first attempt at making ATC's. I didn't like them as ATCs but I found they made great greeting card.
Paper stars - made by folding two stars and gluing the backs to make a 3 dimensional ornament.
Origami hearts. The front heart was the first one I made with the back one being the last in that bunch.
Background is blue cardstock and water scrapbook paper. I added the yellow accent with pencil.
My other favorite ornament. I love this one and have framed it to stay in our living room year round. The background is black cardstock and water scrapbooking paper. This one I accented with red, yellow and blue pencils.
The background of this ornament was a little more complicated than most of the others. I started with white cardstock that I patted with a damp tea bag to dye it a sepia color. Then I sponged black over a gear stencil. The images are printed from the Hopeless Maine website in black and white. I added accents with colored pencil. The ornament on the right has a thick black washer around the ribbon.
This is my favorite ornament out of the bunch. I love the look - you would never guess that the image is from a "horror" story. I trimmed the image with scrapbooking die cuts and wove ribbon around the ornament. The light was added by me with yellow pencil.
Smaller ornaments using the gear stenciled background over black cardstock. Some are trimmed using decorative scissors and ribbon woven through the paper.
